University of Idaho GPWR Delivered

WSC provided our state-of-the-art generic PWR to the University of Idaho. The University's focus for using the GPWR Simulator is on nuclear power plant cybersecurity events and providing PWR familiarization training for their students. The University is creating cyberattack scenarios that will then be used for detection and ultimately mitigation the events. The GPWR is ideal for teaching students the basic principles and operation of a PWR nuclear power plant and the basic concepts of power plant systems and control under normal and abnormal operating conditions as the simulators covers the full range of plant operations from Cold Shutdown, Hot Standby, Criticality, and Hot Zero Power through Full Power. WSC also provided our set of 11 Intelligent Tutoring System Lesson Plans, which allows students to use the simulator without the aid of an instructor.
